Here I will share tips to power up your alexa rank.
- Get alexa toolbar installed in your browser. Set your sites as a homepage. Then surf your own sites. This is a basic.
- Use firefox search status extension to display Google pagerank, Alexa rank and etc.
- Post an entry about Alexa. Webmaster or websavvy love to read about ways to increase pagerank. You will get traffic because everyone is linking to your post.
- Join Asia Social Networking. From my research, I found out, Asian web users using Alexa toolbar a lot. There are in love with Alexa toolbar
. If you don’t believe try search for Alexa top sites. There are several asia sites in the list. - Put webmaster tools like Alvin did in his blog. People love to come back at a site that provide tools for webmaster. They often revisit to the blog to gain access to the tools.
- Optimize your popular post. Use popularity contest pulgin or most popular plugin to determine which is your popular post. Then optimize it. Keep linking to that post or make a section about popular post or recommended post. David Risley blog is a good example.
- Use Alexa redirection URL. “http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?www.fazreen.com” replace ‘www.fazreen.com’ with your blog URL.
- Stumble and digg always. This bring massive traffic. Go social in it. There are a lot of blog that you can view. Go comment on it and build networking.
- Do not forget Technorati. Technorati provide an authority. Ask for FAVOURITE at technorati. Find another blog which has the same topics with your blog then add them as your favourite. After doing so, you need to pay a visit to that blogs and go to comment section to tell the author that you add them to your favourite list and ask them to visit your blog to add your blog to their favourite.
- Post an unique and a killer content. Your blog will be useless without any good information. You may have trafffic to your blog if you post about your daily life but it is a bad traffic. Remember, people use internet to surf for information so provide them with up to date information. They will revisit you often.

Alexa toolbar or widgets will surely boost the rank.. I have proof of this in my blog.. but don’t forget that it is only Alexa rank and does not reflect the amount of visitors you are having. If your blog is more frequently visited by those who don’t use the Alexa toolbar, your rank might be lower than a blog which is having less visitors than you but its visitors are mostly Alexa users. Hope you get what I mean.
