How To Be A Trendsetter

It is true when you live in one community, sometimes you like it.. sometimes you don’t like it but you need to adjust yourself to suit the situation. As an example, when you step up into a new community, someone may say that  you need to strive to be accepted and one of the way that usually be used is to change your style and your appearance depend on the community.

Proved..this way actually less correct. You can always be yourself if you think that you are better than others. It is difficult for you to stick with your principle because you are alone and they are many. But, don’t worry, if you are smart and know how to be a good trendsetter, sure you will be followed. Confident in yourself and don’t let the other things influence your decision.

1. Determine your field

Firstly, determine what kind of field do you want to be a trendsetter. The easiest one is to be an IT blogger.(this is just an example because I know there are many tech bloggers out there). Be a hardworking blogger who always read new technology especially on gadget. Everyday, there are many gadgets are produced. Be an early bird to know the gadget and make a post that contains about the gadget’s information. To be an extreme trendsetter, own the latest gadget which is unique and nobody don’t own yet.

My field are make money online and self development. For me this two fields are related to each other. Looking back at my early experience in blogging, I always see the bloggers who claim they are a problogger. There are many probloggers out there and I’m not deny it.

Just look at John Chow, (this is my personal opinion, you like it or not it is up to you) everyone is entitled to his opinion. Everyone want to be like him. Everyone want to leave a comment in his blog. Why? You guys just make him more popular! Whereas you neither famous.

Honestly, I leaved a comment on his blog once. I don’t feel excited to know about his new post or whatever. For me, it is better to think how I want to be the next generation of dot com Mogul.

2. Dare To Bring Difference

If you want to be a trendsetter, you must dare to try something difference. If needed, you must dare to do an experiment. You determine the trend. Ignore peoples who laugh at you. At first they maybe laugh and make fun of you, but in the course of time they will follow you.

I’m sure, after this I will see more “Rockstar Blogger”

3. Be smart

Don’t you ever copycat others blog. If not, it means that you are not creative.To be a smart trendsetter, you have to be brilliant and active to show your blog is unique. If you copy to dig an idea, take from others niche and don’t take from your main niche.

This is what I did. Since I love design(I don’t have an intention to be a designer) I read a lot of design blogs and try to implement what is unique from them to my niche besides learning some photoshop skills.

4. Suitability

Even you want to be a trendsetter, don’t lose your identity. Lets say you are blogging in make money online niche but your blog appearance looks like a designer blog(with a colorful theme, shining here and there) and your content more to personal stuff, you will lose your identity.

Sometimes it is ok to make an article(especially your personal stuff) which is not relate to your niche. This is good to avoid your audience from feeling bored. But don’t overdo otherwise your audience may think you are not focus anymore in your niche.

5. Self ability

A trendsetter always think further but never force the ability. Whatever you want to be, lets it suit your ability. If you hate writing stuff, don’t force yourself to be a blogger. If not, it will be worst case scenario for you.

If you don’t have an ability to make money online don’t force yourself to do it.

I think everyone has an ability to make money online either you take it or leave it.
