Installing WordPress And Start Blogging

Hello Readers,

This is my tip on how to start blogging. Before you can make money online blogging, you have to get online. I will show you how to build your first blog which is easier actually.:-)

Getting a domain name

The first thing u need is domain. Choosing the correct name domain name is critical for the success of an internet entrepreneur. However, I will show you the simplest way to choose your domain. It does not necessary your domain name be the same as your real name (like I did). Choose a simple yet effective and catchy domain name. It more easy for users to type and remember.

As an example, I choose my name as my domain name (fazreen dot com) because i want to brand my name later. It is up to you to choose whatever domain name but you must consider your blog content and your targeted readers. It is all about being creative and not trying to get every keyword. If you want to build a blog about game’s review you can choose a domain name like this Gamerzreview.com which is simple, catchy and tell direct to your readers what is your blog about. Never choose a long domain name and difficult to spell because it is difficult to type and also remember. I summarize tips to choose a domain name below :

Hosting your domain

After choosing your domain you have to host your domain. The most important thing about running internet business is that you have a reliable host otherwise you are wasting your time. Try make a research who you are getting host with, the worst thing is to find your blog goes offline and don’t has backup af your server. I recommend to everyone to use Sealserver which is cheaper and reliable. They also provide domain name.

Connecting Domain and Host

Usually if you buy domain and host with same company, your domain and host will automaticaly connect. Otherwise you need to log in to your host account and follow the instruction there.

Installing your blog

There are two ways to install your blog. Using file transfer protocol (FTP) and fantatisco. I will show you how to install WordPress using Fantastico, not all hosts have Cpanel and Fantastico but if you are using sealserver like I recommended, they do! So to start, go to YourDomain.com/cpanel and login with the admin details your host provided, scroll to the bottom and click Fantastico, now on the left hand side is a link to WordPress, click that and click New Installation, fill in the form and then click Install WordPress and you are done, now go to your domain and your blog will be installed.

Adding Post To Your Blog

If you now go to your blog on the right hand side of your blog there will be a link called Login (yourdomain.com/wp-login.php), click that and now login with your username and password. You will be presented with the WordPress Dashboard, on the left side you will have a link to Add New under Posts. Click this and you will be able to add your first blog post. So it so simple to build you blog. Take action fast. Get you domain and host here
