My Blog Was Banned From Ping Service

OMG! What should I do now? Get me out from this problem. Please someone help me.

A sentence above maybe was said by someone. But is not me. . No..my blog wasn’t be banned from ping service. A few days ago,  I was wrote about rockstar seo tips. Someone had asked me a question in my awesome citcat section:

I didn’t get about pinging service. Don’t you think adding so many pinging can lead to spamming index of google. I am not sure, pls elaborate” – RIcky

He confused about the list of ping service that I stated in the post. As I promised to him, I will show you how to avoid your blog be banned from ping service.

What I’m going to explain is exactly the same as the original article. Means that, I don’t have to be stupid to write the same article and save my time too. Am I right? So, I just copy the point and put it here.

There is one reason that differentiate between a blog and a website which is, a blog has ability to ping. Every time you make a new post, your blog will ping telling that you has added new post. There are many websites and pin services so, when you added new post, it will ping all the websites and ping services.

In offline, it looks like you buy new thing and you telling people around you, “Hey I just bought new phone.” This will make people come to you looking at your new phone. Same goes to your blog, when it send ping to the websites, it will bring traffic to your blog.

Most of us only know the advantages of ping service. How about the dark side of ping service? Unfortunately, this ping can work against us if we don’t use it properly.

By default, wordpress pings whenever you post new entry. But wordpress also pings whenever you edit and update any existing post.

5 times you edit, 5 times also it pings

Your blog will be banned from ping service because of excessive pinging.

How to avoid this?

I found an awesome plugin that will save my blog which is called MAXBLOGPRESS PING OPTIMIZER PLUGIN. How it work?

• When you create a new post, your blog will ping and notify all the ping services that it has been updated. This encourages search engines and different blog directories/services to index your updated blog properly.
• When you edit an existing post, it won’t send an unnecessary ping to ping services and saves your blog from getting banned.
• When you post a future post by editing the time stamp, it will ping only when your post appears in future. It won’t unnecessarily ping many times when you schedule posts as WordPress does by default.

So the big list of ping sevice did not harm your blog but how your blog ping is what we need to take care.
