As I promised in previous post, this entry I will tell you about the secret of affiliate system (secret? kind of ) Each system has a secret. If you want to join an affiliate program, you must know which system suit you. Lets checkout what are the systems used in affiliate program.

Pay Per Click (PPC)

Pay per click is a famous affiliate system nowadays for affiliate owner who has a small business. It is the easiest way to make money online through affiliate program.

In this PPC, the merchant will pay some amount to the affiliate marketers if they bring visitors to their website. This happen when the visitors click through the banner or advertisement that appear. The affiliate marketer still can earn money even the visitors do not buy anything from that website. Usually the commission received from par per click program is in small amount.

Pay Per Performance (PPP)

This is a very popular system that used by merchant. It can be a gold digger for affiliate marketer. In this system, the merchant will give commission to affiliate marketer if the visitors they brought make an action like subscribe to their newsletter or buy their product.

Pay Per Sale (PPS)

The merchant will only pay to affiliate marketer if the visitors they brought buy their product. That’s mean the visitor turn to be a buyer. Usually the affiliate will get commission when the visitor purchase product but sometimes the payment is fix. I mean certain merchant have their fixed fee.

Pay Per Lead (PPL)

This system is different to PPS system. It mostly use by finance organization. These organizations depend on lead or subscriber to move on. Affiliate marketer will be paid by the merchant when the visitor sign up any form.

Besides these three systems, there are many other system in affiliate program. If this classification is considered in term of level which is built, it can be classified to single-tier system, two-tier and multi-tiers system. There are some merchant who pay to the affiliate marketer if everytime the same visitor make purchase.

Tier’s system

This system based on the level or tier in the affiliate network.

• Single-tier is refer to the payment made for sales and traffic that are made by the affiliate marketer. No extra payment for affiliate marketer in this single-tier system.
• Through two-tier system, the affiliate marketer will be paid based on the sales and traffic that they generate plus they also can earn commission from the new affiliate marketer that join under their network.
• How about multi-tiers? Multi-tiers is the same as two-tier system. The bigger your network, the more you gain commission.
