When it comes to actually finding Do Follow blogs, there are several options. No one way is automatically better than the other, but each one should give plenty of options.
A. Software
While it is available, using software for finding Do Follow blogs has its advantages and disadvantages.
The advantage is that it makes searching a little bit easier. That’s about all, and as you will see, it’s not that difficult to find Do Follows on your own.
There are two main disadvantages to Do Follow software. First, you can do the searches for free. Second, you are installing software which presents its own set of problems: potential software conflicts, being buggy, or a backdoor for viruses (not that any of this will happen, but it’s always a risk with software).
However, over the long term, the time savings of software can really add up.
Search queries – This is as easy as entering your keywords followed by a phrase that’s likely to appear on a Do Follow blog.
“auto racing” + “leave a comment” is one example.
The searches you do this way won’t filter out all of the No Follows, but it will help you to zero in on what you need.
On the plus side, the search can be narrowed down by topic. There’s no need to sift through Do Follow blogs on the topic of cattle ranching if you are looking for flower gardening,
B. Image search
Some Do Follow blogs use an image from “U Comment I Follow” to show they allow Do Follow links on their blogs. This is good to know, because most blog owners won’t change the default label for the image.
Therefore, an image search (try other engines besides Google for more possibilities) using the term “u comment I follow” will bring up sites where the images with the particular label are found.
In this case, it will be Do Follow blogs. Enter these related terms individually to get lots of results.
- ifollow-blue.gif (do the color searches without dashes, too)
- ifollow-green.gif
- ifollow-red.gif
- ifollow.gif (try with .jpg and .png too)
- ifollow-magenta.gif
- ifollow-orange.gif
- ifollow-pink.gif
- ifollow-purple.gif
- ifollow-white.gif
- utrackback_ifollow.gif
Now, take these image names and add a keyword to them. This will help narrow down the search to a few specific blogs.
Note: The above search terms are based on the actual file names for the images.
C. Directories and lists
A simple search engine search for “do follow blogs”, “do follow blog list”, “do follow blog directory”, or anything similar will reveal sites that have tried to put Do Follow blogs into one location. Not all of these sites are good, and it’s nearly impossible for them to stay up to the minute with all of the new blogs that are coming online every day.
They still can be of use though, and are worth a look.
D. Do Your Part
Any blog I’m going to start will be Do Follow. It’s the right thing to do, but there’s more to it than that. It would also attract more people who are looking for Do Follow blogs, which in turn, would build relationships with more people, increase the right kind of traffic, and encourage visitors to leave better comments.
If we all work together, and use other means of getting rid of spam, then there is no reason why Do Follow shouldn’t soon be the norm.

First I have to thanks for this article. Then I need to take your notice on this line: “There are two main disadvantages to Do Follow software. First, you can do the searches for free.” I think something wrong on this line.
You miss a valuable part of this discussion. You should include how to check a blog is dofollow or not manually as most of the blog listed on those directories are no longer dofollow. So, manual check up should be readers last work before bookmarking that site.
Yeah perhaps I should explain it further. What I mean by ‘do the searches for free’ is you waste your money by using a software to find do follow blogs. This is the disadvantage of using a software. It’s easy to check the blog is do follow blog or no follow blog manually. Just right click on the link at comment section then choose properties and look at the link properties.
Nice post.
Do follow blogs are very importent for link building as they give more link juice. I think using a free software or searching on google for ‘do follow list’is best way to find do follow blogs.
As I metioned above, a software has its problem. It might be a glitch when using a software to find do follow blog
my blog is dofollow as far as i concern, i install the plugin to take out nofollow from my blog. Who invented nofollow actually?
I don’t know who invented nofollow attribute but it has been using for ages to avoid black hat strategy
Just some addition to this discussion. The nofollow attribute has not been there since ages. It was introduced in January 2005 by Google when the major blog software makers including WP agreed to it. It was obviously introduced to curb spam. BTW even all Wikipedia outgoing links are nofollow for the same reason.

I myself comment on some dofollow blogs by the way!
Thanks for the info
thanks for the informative post. i dont know why more people use dofollow tag, i mean its good for the both sides. i removd my blogs nofollow tag and now its dofollow and i can see that it even helped me get some traffic, plus its a help to other bloggers who comment becouse they get a backlink.
another easy way to search for dofollow blogs is using “dofollow/dofollow blogs” on google, it works very nice.
any way great post, thank you.
Thanks friend for sharing your experience using do follow attribute in your blog.
I use dofollow blog directories for search dofollow blogs, digital forum also nice for search dofollow blogs.
But having a backlink from a famous forum also good for our blog
I usually get do follow blog list from forum but it is usually a medium rank do follow blog. I think for high rank do follow blog, we must search by our own self.
Yes, we must search manually. But my advise is don’t care too much about do follow blog or no follow blog. As long as yyou find good high rank blog you should leave your link
i am new to this field. please guide me with additional information. thanks for sharing.
Welcome my friend..I’ll help you as I could
These tips rock and help me a lot. Never thought about using image search for dofollow blogs.
For me, all guys make blogs dofollow want more comments and they’d like to submit their blog to directories. My friend is running a directory like this, it includes dofollow blogs, forums, social media sites and she (Kikolani) updates daily: dofollow.info
Thanks also for introduce Kikolani directory
off topic help needed:
How did you disable the image permalink feature that shows above all posts in this theme?! Thanks. I am doing a test run of this theme on a blog.
I do not want to upload any image and want to disable that feature.
Hey Vikas! Sorry for late reply. I did nothing to the images feature. Just don’t insert anything in the custom filed so it will not show up
Fazreen,
Thanks a lot dude. I was experimenting on my temp url and I almost figured that out. Still I guess i need to delete the custom field for some posts from the edit post option. Thanks a ton man!
Two more queries Fazreen:
1. How to show threaded replies like here. I have enabled it but it still not showing!
2. How to add that cute newsletter box or any text just like you beside the related posts besides the related articles and tags.
Thanks again man. Much appreciated! I guess even you can’t solve the problem of polaroid image in header.
You got a nice, beautiful, useful blog here. I am following you now.
1) Thrilling themes doesn’t support threaded comment. You should use threaded comment plugin to enable it.
2) By default, if you go to theme option you can see “thrilling themes promo message” option. Don’t check the box if you want to add promo box beside related post. To change the promo box to whatever box do you want(like I did) you need to customize php code on single.php file which is you can find at theme editor.
Before this I’m using a thrilling theme 1.0.4 version and it did well with the polaroid and feature image. But when I upgrade to 1.0.6 version it didn’t show up. I have found the solution which relate to my hosting. I need to install some file in my server to enable both pictures. Till now I couldn’t reach my hosting provider to do it for me.
Fazreen,
Thanks for the continued help dude.
I will do as suggested. I read in the comments there about the file that the web host needs to upload and will ask my hosts to do that when I finally shift to self-hosting.
I also want to upload a custom favicon but I know I will find the info on internet (but great if you can tell me right here) Thanks again.
When you got time, you can write a good post with snapshots on the MYsql and phpmyadmin area. That area gives me nightmares and I wish there was some easy tutorial for people like me.
Thanks again.
You can use maxblogpress favicon plugin for custom favicon. What you want to know about mySQL and phpmyadmin?
You see I am on wordpress.com and very comfortable there. To me the PHP my admin area looks so dangerous and threatening. How to back up tables there, what is what etc! I wish I could explain it!
Thanks.
For example, I am on a temp url presently doing the test run. When I finally shift after some time I need to delete the existing WP contents from PHP my admin? My host said just delete the Mysql database and password from control panel and it will automatically delete the database and then again add the same mysql username and password while finally shifting!
One last query [sorry to bug you so much]: Can we show more than 7 categories in the nav bar (header). It shows only 7 categories and does not show sub categories.
And the Facebook link probably works only with community or group pages! I tried linking my profile and it did not work!
The facebook link works well for fan page, group and profile page.
It is not set to show only 7 category but maybe category section’s width prevent you to show all category.
In my case it does not show more than seven and even the FB link is not showing maybe due to the width issue.
Fazreen,
Can you tell me this:
when we extract from some zipped themes there is also a MACOSX folder in it! I guess this is for some MAC purpose or what? I do not upload this folder. Am I doing something wrong.
Also such themes (which have this MACOSX folder) do give error when you upload it directly from WP admin area using zip upload!!!
Sorry to continuously bother you Farzeen!
Need more help! Reply only when you are free.
Which plugin you are using for threaded comment? I installed the WordPress thread comment 1.4.9.4. Is it the plugin you also use? Yours works so fine.
I tried to customize it and change the settings so that whoever replies gets the reply in his/her mailbox by default. Then I tested it from three mails and three browsers but it did not send the replies to all!
Is there some other plugin you are using? Ideally all comments should go to the mailbox of anybody who commented if I have checked it by default. Isn’t it? Thanks.
Sorry again! But I will truly appreciate if you also tell me quickly how to edit and add my own footer link! Thanks.
I have found some great dofollow lists on some blogs I follow like extreme Jhon I recently joined the dofollow movment myself keep on rocking
Good tips. It is a lot of hard work to find do follow blogs. I wish ever blogger would join to do follow movement already. FYI, I am including this in my weekly “Sunday’s Best” series.
Nice tip Fazreen. As usual, when it comes to search DoFollow or NoFollow blog/site/forum I use Firefox NoDoFollow add-ons. (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5687?src=api)
The addon also quite useful. But I’m always keep my browser simple because when I’m using too much addon the it will slow down the browser. Maybe I should upgrade my pc LOL
Thanks fr the tips bro. I never even thought about the image search, that’s pure genius!!
Thanks..Have you try it?
Hey Fazr, Nice idea for the post. This topic required discussion!
Vikas, your link and comment regrading Nofollow Att. was quite useful. Thanks for the info.
Yes we should thanks Vikas for giving us such good information about the NoFollow attribute
Thank you Vivek and Fazreen,
Fazreen you fixed your polaroid photo in the header!
Yes, I fixed it. Hmm..are you still having a problem regarding the theme?
..]one another great source of tips on this topicis ,www.fazreen.com,..]
this is nice tips . do follow blog will get flood by traffic and comment but also lose some great point on seo
Yeah, there are pros and contras regarding do follow attribute. We might lose our PR too.
Fazreen,
I fixed some problems. I think I can work with it now. Thanks.
Will soon shift to self-hosting better late than never.
Hi you all and dear this blog author,
I suggest you all my friend to don’t turn you blog to Do Follow blog. If you are asking why? ok. here is the answer:
Don’t turn your blog to Do Follow blog
Thank you!
It is up to me to turn off or turn on do follow blog. I didn’t agree with your post at all.
Definitely turn your blog to dofollow. Click to find out how. Share the link love. But you MUST also turn on moderation.
You better check first either my blog is do follow or not then only you can leave a comment. My blog is doing well with do follow
Fazreen,
Thanks for all the help. The theme is working perfectly on my blog!
All categories are showing and all other problems solved.
Your article has given me something to think about. I have a blog in a quandary let’s say. And I am resorting to looking for comments to leave to see if the site can be helped. I like the idea that you promote that if we all do our part it will be good for all. I am still fairly new at this and I have to think about this, I have a couple of blogs that I will make do follow right away, but I have one that I am not sure if it would be ready to go that way yet. Do you think that is something to do at the onset of the blog or do you think that it should be done mostly on sites that already have some readership. What about sites where you are not necessarily seeking comments then making it do follow would encourage comments.
At any rate thank you for the information. I will be back to check on an answer.
I’m not saying people just looking for DO FOLLOW blog to leave a comment. But most of them did. Turn your blog to dofollow blog of course encourage people to leave comment but what happen if your post has no value, is it possible to make people leave comment?
What I’m trying to say is provide value in your post. Give first before you receive from others. For me, it doesn’t matter if the blog do follow or nofollow as long as it has something interesting to read.
Hiya, a well written post. Thanks for sharing plenty of way to attain do follow blogs. I have seen recently many of them have turned themselves to no follow again as they think they are getting lot of spam comment but I think if they install some spam filter the same problem can be tackled.
Really amazing , please allow me to add your link on my blog
